Tour Information, Terms and Conditions

· Gallivantours (GT) prices, days and times are subject to change if problems arise.

· All bookings are subject to the availability of each individual business included in the different packages. The Customer accepts that a suitable alternative may be substituted, when necessary.

· Tour times and prices are applicable for departure from The Bellarine and for up to 10kms from the CBD of Geelong, unless otherwise stated. Other locations are welcome, with prices available on application.

· Due the constant increases in fuel prices, GT has unfortunately had to introduce a surcharge for all new tour bookings. As of July 2008 quotes are correct for pump up to $1.50 per litre. The extra charge will vary and is dependant on what the price per litre at petrol stations at the date of tour.

• Up to $2.00 per litre  $0.10c per km 

• Up to $2.50 per litre   $0.15c per km

• Up to $3.00 per litre   $0.20c per km   

• Up to $3.50 per litre   $0.25c per km

· All GT vehicles are equipped with appropriate safety equipment and are non-smoking.

· GT does not encourage heavy intoxication. In cases where an individual has become heavily intoxicated, the Driver is authorized to seek alternate transportation, for this person, back to the starting point of the tour at their own expense. Cleaning fee may be charged

· If any damage is done to the bus by an individual/s. The responsibility will be placed on the individual/s to pay for any repair costs incurred. While drink and food on vehicles are permitted, any drink, food or other organic matter dropped, split or otherwise can incur a cleaning fee.

· GT reserves the right to cancel tours, to areas being threatened, for example fires, flooding or wherever individuals are put at risk.

· Quotes are valid for 2 months from date of quote (unless otherwise agreed to).

· Bookings will be taken once an agreement has been confirmed. A 20% deposit is be required to confirm booking (unless prior agreement has been made).

· The balance will be payable 7 days prior to booking (unless otherwise agreed to).

· Payments can be made by cash, cheque, money order or credit card.

· Any bookings cancelled 12 hours or less prior to date booked will lead to a penalty (20% of total booking, unless otherwise agreed to)

· If the party does not show up on the booking confirmed date a penalty of 50% of total booking will occur, (unless otherwise agreed to).

· On occasions where GT is forced to cancel a booking for reasons beyond their control, prior payments made are fully refundable.

· Confirmation of final numbers are required, a minimum of 24 to 48 hours prior to departure, to ensure enough bus space for each individual. Additional numbers of individual/s requested will be subject to availability, with as much notice as possible.

· Lighthouse tours: A moderate level of fitness required, as the climb can be strenuous. Due to telecommunication equipment housed in the lighthouse, we do not recommend access for people with pacemakers or similar medical technology.

· The Platypus Paddle Tour: Has a 95% chance of seeing platypus, with $20pp to be refunded, when there are no sightings.

· Surf the Coast: Surfing lessons may be substituted for a kayak lesson when there are little or no waves. Tours may also be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, such as lightning.
